1. What SmartRideAI is

  • A platform to create a digital vehicle profile, store media, and share it publicly if you choose.
  • A community layer including The Grid, public profile interactions, private messages, connection requests, comments, likes, shares, reports and blocks.
  • A way to link SmartRideAI hardware to a profile, including NFC + QR smart cards, gel resin domed badges, and QR key tags where enabled in your plan or purchased as add-ons.
  • A DNA transfer system that lets you pass a vehicle's digital history to a new owner using a secure transfer code.
  • A dealer portal where approved dealerships can list vehicles and manage a showroom profile under a separate account.
  • GridLift, an advertiser workspace where approved partners can submit sponsored Grid tiles for SmartRideAI review.
  • Paid plans, app subscriptions and physical hardware add-ons are shown clearly before purchase in the relevant checkout flow.
  • Subscriptions started in this iOS app are processed through Apple App Store and verified with RevenueCat. Replacement or additional NFC/QR hardware is a separate physical product purchase.
  • A place for enthusiasts to connect and browse profiles and listings.

2. What SmartRideAI is not

  • Not a dealer, broker, auctioneer, escrow service, or payment intermediary for private sales.
  • Not a vehicle history authority. You must do your own checks.
  • Not a guarantee that user profiles, adverts, dealership listings, AI outputs, mileage, ownership claims, modifications or service records are accurate.
  • Not a finance adviser, insurance adviser, credit broker or lender for sponsored advertiser products shown on The Grid.

3. Your key controls

  • You choose whether profiles are public or private.
  • You choose what content to upload and share.
  • If you subscribe in the iOS app, you must manage or cancel that subscription through Apple Subscriptions.
  • You can report a public profile, block another user, or request account deletion from the platform controls.

4. Contacts

  • Support and privacy: Contact support or email support@smartrideai.app
  • Password help: Reset your password
  • Account deletion: Delete account route
  • Billing, Apple App Store, RevenueCat and subscription queries: billing@smartrideai.app
  • System emails come from: no-reply@smartrideai.app

5. Liability cap

  • If we are liable to you, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
  • Sponsored Grid tiles are adverts. They do not mean SmartRideAI recommends the advertiser or guarantees the offer.

1. Who we are

SmartRideAI operates this website and the SmartRideAI platform.

  • Support and privacy: contact support or email support@smartrideai.app
  • Billing: billing@smartrideai.app
  • System emails (not monitored): no-reply@smartrideai.app

2. The service

SmartRideAI lets you create an account, add vehicles, publish vehicle profiles, upload media, browse The Grid, use private messaging and connection tools, manage visibility settings, and subscribe to paid tiers. Subscriptions started in this iOS app are processed through Apple App Store, with RevenueCat used to help check subscription status and access. Physical NFC/QR hardware add-ons and replacements are separate physical product purchases.

Use of the iOS app is also subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

SmartRideAI is not a dealer, broker, auctioneer, escrow provider, finance intermediary, or verification authority.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
  • You must use the service lawfully.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts to protect the platform, users, and our systems.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You are responsible for the content you upload, publish, send or otherwise make available, including vehicle details, claims, adverts, messages, comments, images, video, evidence and service records.

You confirm you have the rights and permissions to upload and share all content, and that it does not breach any law, privacy right, intellectual property right, platform rule or third-party right.

5. Licence you grant to SmartRideAI

You keep ownership of your content. You grant SmartRideAI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, and display your content to operate and improve the service (including backups, moderation, and safety checks).

6. Public and private areas

If you publish a vehicle profile, enable a public garage, comment on public content, or appear in The Grid, other users and visitors may view that content. If you publish content publicly, third parties may copy or redistribute what they can access.

Private messages and non-public garage settings are intended to be restricted, but they may still be processed for delivery, safety, abuse prevention, legal compliance, support and platform administration.

7. Vehicle data accuracy and verification

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or truth of any user content, vehicle data, service history, modifications, mileage, or ownership claims.

If we show verification indicators, they reflect checks based on information provided at the time and do not replace DVLA, insurer, finance, or police checks.

8. DNA transfers and transfer codes

The platform includes a DNA transfer system that allows you to generate a secure transfer code and pass a vehicle's digital profile and history to a new owner. Transfer codes are time-limited and single-use.

You are responsible for keeping codes secure and only sharing them with your intended recipient. Once a transfer is accepted, ownership of the digital profile moves to the new account holder.

You may revoke a generated code before it is claimed. Once claimed, transfers cannot be reversed through the platform.

We are not responsible for disputes, losses, or misuse arising from transfer codes shared in error or outside the platform.

9. SmartRide badge hardware

  • Installation: You are responsible for installation and removal. We are not liable for damage caused by improper installation or removal.
  • Compatibility: You need an NFC-capable phone for NFC interactions. We do not guarantee compatibility with all devices.
  • Loss or theft: If a badge is lost or stolen, you should change links or deactivate where available in your dashboard.

10. Shipping and physical fulfilment

  • Dispatch: We aim to dispatch within 2-5 working days after payment clears.
  • Address: We ship to the address saved in your account settings. You must keep this accurate.
  • Damaged items: Contact us within 14 days for replacement if an item arrives damaged or defective.
  • Consumer rights: For eligible consumer physical product purchases, statutory cancellation, return, repair, replacement or refund rights may apply. Custom, personalised, activated or linked hardware may be treated differently where the law allows.

11. Marketplace and private sales

SmartRideAI is a venue for connecting enthusiasts. Any transaction or agreement is between users. We do not handle payments between buyers and sellers and we are not responsible for disputes or losses arising from private sales.

12. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to access unauthorised parts of the system, scrape data, clone the platform, reverse engineer, probe vulnerabilities without written permission, inflate metrics using bots, upload malware, or upload unlawful content.

AI-generated content on the platform (including Crew Chief verdicts and AI-assisted vehicle descriptions) is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. It does not constitute professional automotive, financial, or legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.

13. Intellectual property

SmartRideAI owns the platform and its intellectual property, including the SmartRideAI® name, logo, visual style, copy, platform design, vehicle identity badges, NFC / QR concepts, workflows, and proprietary platform structure.

SmartRideAI® is a UK registered trade mark. All rights in the brand, mark and platform identity are asserted and reserved.

You must not copy, clone, scrape, replicate, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the platform or badge-to-profile linking architecture without written permission.

You must not suggest an association with SmartRideAI, reuse SmartRideAI branding, or recreate SmartRideAI’s digital badge identity system, transfer workflows, platform UI, or vehicle profile experience as a competing or misleading service.

14. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or stop features. We do not promise uninterrupted access.

15. Limitation of liability

Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, SmartRideAI is not liable for reliance on user content, private sales disputes, third-party links, indirect losses, or losses outside our reasonable control.

If we are liable to you, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

16. Dealer accounts

Dealers may apply for a separate dealer account to list vehicles and manage a showroom profile. Dealer accounts are subject to approval and their own subscription terms.

Dealers are responsible for the accuracy of all vehicle listings, pricing, and contact information they publish. SmartRideAI is a venue and not a party to any sale between a dealer and a buyer.

Dealer accounts must represent a genuine business. SmartRideAI may request verification of business identity at any time and may suspend or remove accounts that cannot be verified.

17. Advertisers and sponsored Grid tiles

SmartRideAI may allow approved advertisers to submit sponsored Grid tiles through GridLift. Sponsored tiles are paid promotional placements and are labelled as advertising where displayed.

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy, legality and substantiation of their prices, rates, claims, images, representative examples, availability, eligibility criteria, links and disclaimers. SmartRideAI does not provide financial advice, insurance advice, credit broking, underwriting, lending, escrow, fulfilment or product recommendations through sponsored tiles.

SmartRideAI may review, reject, pause, remove or request edits to sponsored tiles at any time. Approval for display does not mean SmartRideAI endorses the advertiser, guarantees the offer, verifies all claims or accepts responsibility for third-party landing pages.

Advertisers must follow the dedicated Advertiser Terms and Sponsored Content Rules in addition to these general terms.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Optional location data

  • When you submit a Pulse Quest claim, your device or browser may ask whether you want to share a one-time precise location and accuracy reading to help confirm that the evidence was captured near the quest area.
  • SmartRideAI does not use this feature for continuous or background location tracking. If location is unavailable or you decline it, the claim can still be submitted for manual review.
  • Pulse Quest location evidence is not displayed publicly by default.

Usage and interactions

  • Views, taps, scans, likes and other platform activity
  • Where you allow optional first-party usage analytics: page or feature names, session start and last activity time, active browsing duration, pages viewed, app or web client type, broad referral source, and pseudonymous visitor or session identifiers
  • Usage analytics does not record passwords, verification codes, payment details, private message content, or text entered into forms

  • An optional contact email where you ask us to follow up
  • A one-way hash of the submitting network address and limited device information used to prevent repeated spam; the feedback form does not store the raw network address

3. How we use your data

  • Provide and secure your account
  • Host and display your vehicle profiles and uploaded content
  • Enable connections, notifications, and platform interactions
  • Manage subscriptions and access to paid tiers
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access
  • Verify optional Pulse Quest location evidence and route claims for automatic or manual review

  • Respond to business advertising enquiries, prepare requested proposals and contracts, record approval and upfront-payment stages, review sponsored creative, administer campaigns, and report first-party campaign activity

4. Lawful bases

  • Contract: to provide the service you request
  • Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, service improvement
  • Legal obligation: where required by law (for example, accounting records)
  • Consent: where you choose optional publishing and settings

5. Sharing and processors

We share personal data with providers that help us run the service, such as Apple App Store and RevenueCat for iOS subscription management, payment providers for physical hardware orders, email delivery, app notifications, hosting, analytics where enabled, fulfilment, security tooling and other operational service providers.

If you click a sponsored Grid tile, you may leave SmartRideAI and visit an advertiser or third-party website. That advertiser is responsible for its own website, privacy notices, cookies, lead capture and follow-up.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or recognised contractual protections.

7. Retention

  • Account and profile data: kept while your account is active, then deleted or anonymised where possible if you request deletion.
  • Subscription and accounting records: kept up to 6 years for tax and dispute handling.
  • Security logs: kept for limited periods unless needed for investigation.
  • Raw first-party usage analytics: normally kept for up to 13 months, with longer-term reporting retained in aggregated form where possible.
  • Feedback and support records: kept only while reasonably needed to review the submission, improve the platform, respond where requested, and manage abuse.
  • Advertising enquiry and correspondence records: kept while the opportunity is active and afterwards where reasonably needed for follow-up, suppression, audit or dispute handling. Signed contract, invoice and payment records may be kept for up to 6 years for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
  • Pulse Quest evidence, including an optional one-time location reading, is kept with the claim and review record while reasonably needed for verification, rewards, moderation, fraud prevention and dispute handling.
  • Backups: retained for a rolling period and then overwritten.

8. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability where applicable. Contact support@smartrideai.app from your registered email address.

You can request account deletion at delete-account. If you are signed in, the page will also point you to the dashboard deletion flow where available. We may retain limited records where required for tax, billing, dispute, fraud prevention, safety, moderation, or legal reasons.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

9. Safety controls

Logged-in users can report public profiles for moderation review and can block another user from selected social interactions. Reports and block events may be retained where needed to investigate abuse, enforce our rules, or protect the platform.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect account, vehicle, subscription and platform data. Access to operational systems is restricted. Payment details are handled by third-party payment platforms and SmartRideAI does not store full card details. You must protect your password and device.

11. Children

The service is only intended for users aged 18 or over.

Cookies we use

We use cookies that help the platform work.

Essential

  • Session cookie to keep you logged in during your visit.

Functionality

  • Remember-me cookie to keep you logged in between visits (up to 30 days where enabled).
  • Interaction cookies (such as preventing repeat likes on the same vehicle profile) (up to 30 days where enabled).

Optional first-party usage analytics

If you choose “Allow analytics”, SmartRideAI stores first-party browser identifiers used to distinguish a visitor and a browsing session. These help us measure active use, page popularity, session duration, retention and public vehicle-profile reach.

  • The analytics identifiers do not contain your name, email address, password, message content or payment information.
  • Admin, designated test and app-review accounts are excluded from investor reporting.
  • You can continue using SmartRideAI if you select “Not now”.

Sponsored Grid tiles may record basic impression and click events for reporting, billing, fraud prevention and advertiser performance measurement. These records are intended to measure campaign activity, not to provide financial advice or automated decision-making about you.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the service will not work.

1. Who processes payments

Subscriptions started in this iOS app are processed through Apple App Store, with RevenueCat used to help verify subscription status and entitlements. We do not store full payment-card details.

2. Billing and renewal

  • Subscriptions renew according to the billing term you choose until you cancel.
  • Subscription prices and any hardware add-on charges are shown clearly before purchase.
  • Where hardware is included in a plan or bought as an add-on, fulfilment and dispatch details are shown during the relevant checkout flow.
  • Additional or replacement NFC/QR hardware is a physical product purchase and may use a separate website checkout even when the link is opened from the app.
  • Apple App Store subscriptions must be managed or cancelled through Apple Subscriptions.
  • If payment fails, access may be downgraded or paused until payment resumes.

3. Receipts and billing contact

For billing queries contact billing@smartrideai.app.

4. Refunds

  • No refunds for part-used billing periods, except where required by law or the relevant payment platform rules.
  • Hardware add-on purchases that have already been personalised, activated, linked or processed for dispatch may be non-refundable except where required by law. iOS in-app purchases are also subject to Apple App Store rules.
  • We consider refunds for billing errors, duplicate charges and other cases where a refund is required by law or platform rules.
  • Send refund requests within 14 days of the charge to billing@smartrideai.app.

5. In-app subscriptions

iOS app subscriptions are managed through Apple Subscriptions. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refund handling are subject to Apple App Store terms and account settings.

  • To cancel an iOS app subscription, use Apple Subscriptions. SmartRideAI cannot directly cancel an App Store subscription for you.
  • RevenueCat may be used to receive and check subscription identifiers, product IDs, entitlement status, transaction status, renewal status and expiry information.
  • Website and in-app pricing is shown in the relevant checkout before purchase.
  • Refunds for iOS in-app purchases are handled through Apple, not directly by SmartRideAI.
  • Where an app subscription is active, your SmartRideAI tier will reflect the subscription status verified through the relevant app store and RevenueCat.
  • Your access may update if a subscription renews, expires, fails, is cancelled, is refunded, is charged back, or is otherwise changed by Apple.

Terms of Use (Apple Standard EULA)

6. Plan changes

We may update plan features and pricing for future billing periods. Where practical, we will provide notice through the platform.

Community and content rules

You must not:

  • Post unlawful content or upload stolen documents
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
  • Publish personal data about others without permission
  • Use private messages, comments, The Grid or profile tools for spam, scams, abusive contact or unlawful sales activity
  • Upload malware or attempt to bypass security
  • Mislead others with false ownership claims or fabricated evidence

Enforcement

We may remove content, restrict visibility, suspend accounts, and preserve logs where needed to protect the platform and users.

Advertiser Terms and Sponsored Content Rules

These rules apply to advertisers, agencies, finance providers, dealerships, product partners and anyone submitting sponsored content through GridLift or any other SmartRideAI advertiser workflow.

1. What sponsored Grid tiles are

A sponsored Grid tile is paid promotional content shown inside SmartRideAI. It may promote car deals, finance products, insurance, warranties, charging, servicing, accessories or other motoring-related products.

Sponsored tiles are adverts. They are not SmartRideAI recommendations, financial advice, insurance advice, credit broking, underwriting, lending, escrow, dealership services, stock verification or a guarantee that an offer is right for any user.

2. Advertiser responsibility

The advertiser is solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and substantiation of all campaign content, including:

  • Prices, monthly payments, deposits, APRs, representative examples, rates and fees
  • Stock availability, delivery dates, mileage limits, product restrictions and eligibility criteria
  • Images, logos, trademarks, product names, descriptions, performance claims and comparisons
  • Landing pages, contact details, lead capture forms, privacy notices and customer follow-up
  • Regulatory wording, disclaimers, risk warnings and required authorisations

If anything changes, the advertiser must update, pause or withdraw the campaign promptly.

3. Finance, insurance and regulated products

Advertisers promoting finance, credit, insurance, warranty or other regulated products must ensure that all content is compliant before submission. This includes representative examples, risk warnings, status wording, affordability wording, eligibility criteria and any required regulatory permissions or approvals.

SmartRideAI does not make credit decisions, assess affordability, arrange finance, advise users, guarantee acceptance or act as an authorised representative unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

4. Review, approval and removal

SmartRideAI may review submitted campaigns before display. Review is for platform suitability and basic consumer clarity; it is not legal, financial, regulatory or technical approval of the advertiser's offer.

SmartRideAI may reject, pause, remove or request edits to any campaign where content appears unclear, expired, misleading, unsuitable, high-risk, non-compliant, harmful to users, inconsistent with the SmartRideAI experience or damaging to SmartRideAI's reputation.

SmartRideAI does not guarantee placement position, volume, impressions, clicks, leads, conversion, sales or revenue unless a separate signed agreement states otherwise.

5. Enquiries, fixed packages, contracts and payment

A business enquiry is a request for SmartRideAI to review a possible campaign. It is not an accepted order, live placement or promise of publication. Standard packages are £500 for 30 days, £900 for 60 days and £1,250 for 90 days, excluding applicable tax, for one reviewed sponsored Grid tile in one primary market. Wider partnerships receive one clear written total.

SmartRideAI may prepare a proposal and final contract recording the scope, market, dates, deliverables and total price. Proposals and contracts remain under SmartRideAI admin control until reviewed and sent. By completing the secure acceptance, the signatory confirms authority to contract for the advertiser.

The full contracted invoice must clear upfront before creative scheduling or publication. Instalments, split payments, pay-later arrangements and deferred payment are not offered for these placements. Signing the contract alone does not unlock the campaign.

SmartRideAI may store enquiry correspondence, proposal and contract versions, authorised signature details, an IP-derived security hash, invoice/payment status, campaign records and timestamps for operation, accounting, audit, dispute handling and compliance.

6. Data, tracking and third-party sites

SmartRideAI may record sponsored tile impressions, clicks, campaign identifiers, timestamps, basic device/browser information, referring pages and security/fraud signals for reporting, billing, auditing and platform protection.

When a user clicks an advertiser link, the advertiser is responsible for the destination website, cookies, analytics, privacy notices, lead forms, follow-up communications and any transaction or advice provided after the click.

7. Prohibited advertiser content

Advertisers must not submit content that is false, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, unsafe, spam-like, malware-related, abusive, sexually explicit, politically manipulative, infringing, designed to impersonate SmartRideAI, or designed to pressure users into unsuitable financial decisions.

Advertisers must not imply SmartRideAI endorses, guarantees, underwrites, approves or recommends an offer unless SmartRideAI has given express written permission.

8. Indemnity and liability

The advertiser agrees to protect SmartRideAI from losses, claims, complaints, regulatory action, costs or damages arising from advertiser content, landing pages, customer handling, product claims, pricing, regulated wording, intellectual property infringement, data protection failures or breach of these rules.

SmartRideAI is not liable for advertiser offers, third-party websites, customer decisions, finance outcomes, rejected applications, vehicle defects, unavailable stock, changed prices, lost leads, indirect losses or missed commercial expectations.

Nothing in these rules limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

9. Contact

Advertising enquiries, proposals, contracts, invoices and campaign questions should be sent to advertising@smartrideai.app.

Businesses can view the pricing and process at Advertise with SmartRideAI, submit an enquiry through the business enquiry form, and read the portal-facing summary at Advertiser Terms.

Takedown requests

If you believe content infringes your rights, contact support@smartrideai.app and include:

  • The URL or profile ID
  • What right is infringed (copyright, trade mark, privacy)
  • Proof you own the right or act for the rights holder
  • What action you want (remove, restrict, correct)

We may restrict access while we review. We may contact the uploader for context.
